John J. Burger, Architect is a three person architectural practice founded in January 1991.
Mr. Burger graduated from the College of Architecture at Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina in 1977 and is a licensed architect in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Prior to opening private practice, Mr. Burger was Vice-President and managing principal of Architectural Design Group, Inc., an award-winning design firm based in Alexandria, Virginia. He has acquired a broad range of design and technical experience working his way from draftsman to project architect to managing principal of a 20+ person architectural firm. His firm represents his varied experience in both large and small commercial projects along with experience in residential additions and residences.
Now in business for over 25 years, John J. Burger, Architect has always been sensitive to client's wishes and project budgets.
It is Mr. Burger's philosophy that architecture is the skillful management of people and money during the design process. An architect must possess strong design, technical, and management skills; through these attributes an aesthetically pleasing and functional building can be realized.
Casey J. McCloud, Architect
Casey graduated with her Master's of Architecture from Norwich University in 2004. Although a Fredericksburg native, her career took her to Scott Disher & Associates in Florida before returning to Virginia in 2007. She has been with John Burger Architect for nearly 10 years, earning her architectural license for the Commonwealth in 2014. Casey presents a full range of experience from preliminary design to final permit and project management. She also enjoys spending time with her family and being an active member at New City Fellowship.
Robin Mae Schick, Project Architect
After graduating with a B.S. in Architecture from the University of Virginia, Robin joined the United States Peace Corps to serve in Guatemala as a Community Development Volunteer. Upon returning state-side she worked at LCL Legacy in Construction Estimating for large retail development before starting her own residential design firm servicing the Northern Neck of Virginia. She works in the John Burger Architect office part-time on commercial and residential projects.
